Simple, Delicious/ healthy and a good eating way. Something not to fancy like
that involves hours of work and specific peppers ect.
(evenn though pepers arent normally in breakfast)Does anyone have any good/simple breakfast recipes?
Sausage balls - just sausage, biscuit mix, and cheese. Mix, roll and bake. It's the easiest thing in the world, and surprisingly good.
Baked French toast casserole - make it tonight, stick it in the oven tomorrow. Serve it with a spoon.
Hash brown casserole. It has a base of shredded potatoes, topped with ham, cheese and eggs. We like to add onions (saute them first), broccoli, green or red peppers, and whatever other veggies or breakfast meats we have on hand.
Mini croissant chicken salad sandwiches. It's amazing what the addition of a ';fancy'; croissant can do for chicken salad. Cut them in half if they're too large.
Someone mentioned a fruit salad - I don't want to steal their idea, but here's a great, easy, FAST version. Drain and mix a can of pineapple tidbits, clementines or mandarin oranges, and sliced peaches (cut them into smaller pieces first). Add 1 small container of vanilla yogurt and a tablespoon or two of instant vanilla pudding mix. Stir until it thickens slightly. If you like, toss in a handful or two of coconut.

erm here is a simple recipe that is great for breakfasts.
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
鈥?1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
鈥?3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
鈥?1 teaspoon salt
鈥?1 tablespoon white sugar
鈥?1 1/4 cups milk
鈥?1 egg
鈥?3 tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
谋ts great with coffee or fresh orange juice.
lol i know its nothing fancy but its very simple fast and delicious x
Well this is very simple, but not very healthy and not for anyone who is into loseing weight, Although it is very delicious :)
Fry up some bacon -about 4-5 strips-
Take bacon out of frying pan and drain the grease but do not rinse.
Scramble 3-4 eggs and place them into the greased pan.
Throw in 2-3 slices of cheese into the eggs and scramble them up.
I usually make smoothies or juices for breakfast. I love to experiment with juices - my favorite now is a handful of spinach, a carrot, 2 stalks of celery, a handful of grapes (black or red) and 2 apples! I pour it in a sports bottle with lots of ice and drink it on my way to work! The apples are sweet so they overpower the veggies (if you don't like them, start with less veggies and work up to it).
Smoothies can be fattening so you have to be careful what you mix them with. Generally, I use only fruit and a bit ice but you can add fat free yogurt, too. Stay clear of the chain smoothie places as they use frozen yogurt with lots of sugar and fat.
Another idea would be to prepare a ';lunchables'; type breakfast. The best part is that you prepare these ahead of time for every member of the family. The kids can grab theirs out of the refrigerator and start eating while you are getting ready. Use a divided food container and fill with things you enjoy:
hardboiled eggs
fresh fruit
yogurt with a few almonds
1 oz of low-fat cheese chunks/string cheese
whole wheat crackers with nut butter
fresh tomatoes, crostini slices and fresh mozzarella
Breakfast doesn't have to be strickly eggs, muffins and bacon - if you think outside of the box, the possibilites are endless. Sometime a portion of hummas and pita chips with a fresh fruit/veggie juice are just what you body needs in the morning.
I really can't think of any breakfast item that isn't simple.
I don't understand the need for pancake mix - who doesn't have flour, milk, eggs, baking soda, sugar and salt in the pantry?
Even crepes are more technique than anything complicated.
Healthful? That rules out a lot of bacon and sausage favorites.
Let's see - how about buckwheat pancakes and fruit? You'll need to find buckwheat flour, but that shouldn't be hard. Any health food store would have it, and most grocery stores now carry ';Bob's Red Mill'; stuff. Use a little less than half buckwheat to white AP flour. Some milk (buttermilk if you have it), eggs, sugar, baking soda and salt. Ratios aren't that important, you're looking for a batter that spreads out, but isn't too thin. Mix the dry ingredients and wet separately, then combine with a whisk, let the mixture sit 20 minutes and then adjust for thickness.
Pan fry in a well buttered non-stick skillet. Turn once when bubbles form in the middle of the pancake.
sure! if you dont think grilled cheeses are weird to eat for breakfast, try toasting some pita bread and mixing all different kinds of cheeses on it, like any kind of cheddar, american, monterey jack, pepper jack, havarti, or swiss. you can add ham or sausage for a breakfasty-flair. it tastes delicious while you're getting protein and carbs.
i am also a big fan of bagels, so you can buy the bags of them, toast/heat them, and add cream cheese, cheeses, ham and cheese, or eat them plain/cold.
you can have sausage biscuits, or twist them up (my dad had this idea) and put the sausage on english muffins, and it's a good change and tastes delicious. hope i helped!
natural yoghurt ( virually fat free ) with sprinklings of musli and honey. honey makes it taste nice and provides a boost of energy and musli keeos you going till lunch time. yoghurt fills you up and is rich in calcium and pro-biotics.
if you want somthing more substancial then you can get quorn bacon which is vitrually fat free and full of protien which maked you feel fuller for longer. rich in fibre too, and tastes nice! although it comes in rectanges haha so it doesn;t look like it.
sometimes i eat the leftovers of dinner for breakfast ... if you can stomach strong flavours in the morning!
perhaps a banana and a bowl of cereal? ... the wheatabix week looks good
try french toast. you just beat an egg with some cinammon and a splash of milk, then a bit of vanilla essence. mix that up in a bowl then soak the bread top and bottom in it and then cook it in the pan, flipping to cook both sides. serve with maple syrup and fresh berries. also sprinkle icing sugar for presentation if desired,
enjoy! :)
Muesli with skimmed milk and cut up fresh fruit in along with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Delicious and very healthy.
Or get some fresh fruit and make a smoothie.
Search on Google for smoothie recipes.
Bacon and egg, tomato and mushrooms.
Omelette with cheese and/or mushrooms.
Sliced ham and cheese on toast
Natural yoghurt with fruit and honey
Porridge with fruit and honey
Mashed banana and honey on toast
OK...
you put butter and fruit sauce on the toast
put Nutella on the bread and drink milk with coffe express
or tea with biscuit
Scrambled egg with salt, black pepper %26amp; chopped Chilis on wholemeal toast with tomato ketchup...yummy. :)
cereal with fruit on it and low fat milk fruit juice and coffee toast using wholemeal bread
